General Secretary, President To Lam Attends 72nd Anniversary of Ho Chi Minh's Visit to Hung Temple

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President To Lam attended the 72nd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's visit to Hung Temple on the morning of September 19 at the Hung Temple National Special Historical Relic Site in Phu Tho province. A ceremony to inaugurate the "President Ho Chi Minh with the National Day" statue was also held on the same day. Speaking at the ceremony, General Secretary and President To Lam honored the merits of ancestors in nation-building and defense, while calling for national unity and patriotism. He also emphasized the importance of Hung Temple as a spiritual center for the Vietnamese people and a place that nurtures national identity. This commemoration marks the event on September 19, 1954, when President Ho Chi Minh visited Hung Temple, emphasizing the leader's role in Vietnam's founding and development, and the importance of national unity. The ceremony served as an opportunity to respect Vietnam's historical heritage and raise national consciousness towards development. Approximately 60 representative overseas Vietnamese (Kieu Bao) also participated, expressing gratitude for the merits of their ancestors. Under its one-party system, Vietnam continues to pursue economic growth while also prioritizing its historical and cultural heritage and fostering national spiritual integration. Hung Temple, revered as the sanctuary of the legendary King Hung, considered the founder of Vietnam, symbolizes the roots of the Vietnamese people and is a sacred site visited by many annually. This anniversary ceremony is seen as an endeavor to reaffirm these spiritual pillars and strengthen national cohesion.
