Kampong Thom, Cambodia – July 15, 2026 – Khim Sokkheang, the governor of Prasat Sambour district, expressed profound gratitude to retired civil servants of the district during a meeting held on the morning of July 15, 2026. The gathering was attended by approximately 80 individuals, including the district police chief, military police commander, regional military sub-area commander, as well as current and retired officials. Governor Khim Sokkheang conveyed his deepest respect and appreciation to the former civil servants and educators, acknowledging their dedication of physical strength, intellect, spirit, and time throughout their careers, which were instrumental in serving the public and actively contributing to the development of Prasat Sambour district. He stated that even though they are now retired, the achievements, merits, and rich experiences they have left behind form a solid foundation and serve as excellent role models for the next generation of officials to continue leading and serving the citizens even better. The district administration emphasized that the current progress of Prasat Sambour district is significantly indebted to the sacrifices made by all the elders, and they will always be remembered and valued. To honor their immense contributions, Governor Khim Sokkheang presented a generous donation from Dr. Jiv Keng and his wife to each retired attendee, amounting to 50,000 Riel.
