Ukrainian authorities reported that Russian forces launched a large-scale night attack using missiles and drones on the capital, Kyiv, and its surrounding areas on the 5th, resulting in at least 17 deaths and numerous injuries. In Kyiv city, 16 people died and 30 were injured, while in other regions, one person died and 26 were injured. Ukraine's Air Force claimed that Russia launched 115 drones, 24 ballistic missiles, and 4 anti-ship missiles in this attack. In response, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the attacks targeted transport centers and military supply depots in Kyiv and its surrounding areas, including drone components, electronic warfare systems, and other military equipment.
