Phnom Penh Governor Encourages More Foreign Investors to Invest Legally

Phnom Penh Governor Khuong Sreng has strongly encouraged more foreign investors to expand their legal investments in Cambodia, speaking at the official inauguration ceremony of the new LAVIA HOTEL on September 18th. He stated that this move is expected to foster economic growth and increase tourism in the country. The ceremony was also attended by H.E. Nguyen Minh Vu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Kingdom of Cambodia. Governor Khuong Sreng declared that the establishment of LAVIA HOTEL in Phnom Penh is a "correct decision," and the Phnom Penh administration fully supports all investments with comprehensive security and safety measures. He emphasized that this serves as a positive sign for attracting more tourists to Phnom Penh and Cambodia as a whole. The governor further noted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet, Cambodia has achieved development in all sectors, maintained economic growth, and attracted tourists and investments. He also highlighted the vision of Cambodia becoming an upper-middle-income country by 2030 and a high-income country by 2050. He stressed the importance of maintaining peace at all costs for further success across all sectors and pledged to support public relations efforts to attract investors. The Phnom Penh administration stands ready to provide continuous support, he added. Mr. Ly Yian, General Director of Ly An MC Co., Ltd., explained that LAVIA HOTEL is a 4-star establishment featuring 79 guest rooms, a restaurant, conference facilities, a banquet hall, a sky bar, a steam room, and a swimming pool. He stated that the establishment of LAVIA HOTEL contributes to the promotion of Cambodia's tourism sector and also aids in creating employment for Cambodian citizens.
