A delegation from Sihanoukville Province, a key coastal province in Cambodia, visited Guangzhou Haifeng Automobile Parts Co., Ltd., a prominent manufacturer and distributor of automotive parts, in Guangzhou, China, on September 8, 2026. The visit was led by H.E. Mang Sineth, Governor of Sihanoukville Province, accompanied by representatives from the Secretariat for the Master Plan for the Development of Sihanoukville Province into a Model Multi-purpose Special Economic Zone, as well as representatives from the Cambodian private sector. Guangzhou Haifeng Automobile Parts Co., Ltd. produces and distributes a wide range of automotive components, including engine parts, suspension and shock absorbers, braking systems, transmission parts, oil seals, and parts for heavy-duty vehicles and trucks. This visit by the Sihanoukville delegation took place during the governor's participation in the 'Cambodia-China Cooperation and Exchange Forum' held in Guangzhou. The forum's theme was 'Intelligent Manufacturing,' indicating Cambodia's interest in exploring technological cooperation and investment opportunities with China, particularly in the manufacturing sector. This inspection is seen as part of Cambodia's strategy to deepen cooperation with Chinese companies possessing advanced manufacturing technology, aiming to revitalize the regional economy and upgrade its industries as the province accelerates its special economic zone development.
