
HCMC-Long Thanh Airport Metro Extension Project Secures $2.5 Billion Investment Approval
The People's Council of Dong Nai province has approved an investment policy exceeding VND65 trillion (approximately $2.5 billion) for a project to extend Ho Chi Minh City's Metro Line 1 to Long Thanh International Airport. This 44.6 km extension, slated for implementation between 2026 and 2030 under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, is expected to significantly enhance connectivity in the southern Vietnamese economic region.
