Ex-abbot jailed 12 years for embezzling B3m Buddhist college funds

A former chief monk in Thailand's Phichit province has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for embezzling 3 million baht in donations intended for a Buddhist college. The court also ordered him to repay the funds, linking him to last year's 'Sika Golf' scandal.
