Vietnam Holds National Finals for Local Security and Order Protection Force Competition

On August 7, Politburo members Bùi Thị Minh Hoài, Secretary of the Central Committee and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, and Phạm Gia Túc, Standing Deputy Prime Minister, attended the final round of the "First National Excellent Local Security and Order Protection Force Competition" held in Haiphong City. The competition, themed "Solid Professionalism - Full Trust. For National Security and Peaceful Life," was co-organized by the Ministry of Public Security and Haiphong City. According to the organizing committee, this is the first time the competition has been held nationwide following the implementation of the Law on Local Security and Order Protection Forces two years ago. The event aims to evaluate and commend the achievements in building and consolidating these forces, affirming their crucial role in line with the resolution of the 14th National Party Congress on "Building a strong local security and order protection force." It also serves as a practical celebration for the 81st anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Force, the 21st anniversary of the "All-People's Day for National Defense," and in anticipation of the 60th anniversary of the movement for building the people's security protection. Eight teams participated in the national final round, representing Hanoi City, Ho Chi Minh City, Haiphong City, and the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Phu Tho, Khanh Hoa, Dong Thap, and Ca Mau. These teams were selected as the best representatives from 34 provinces and cities after passing two regional sub-finals held in Thanh Hoa province for the North and Ho Chi Minh City for the South. The competition's content was presented through theatrical performances, closely linked to practical work. It focused on areas such as legal knowledge for ensuring security and order, professional skills for supporting commune-level police, situational handling skills in residential areas, and propaganda and mobilization efforts to encourage public participation in the "All-People's Movement for National Defense." In the results, the teams from Hanoi City, Ho Chi Minh City, and Haiphong City excellently won the "A" prize. The teams from Thanh Hoa, Ca Mau, and Khanh Hoa provinces received the "B" prize, while Phu Tho and Dong Thap provinces were awarded the "C" prize. Politburo members Bùi Thị Minh Hoài and Phạm Gia Túc, along with leaders from the Ministry of Public Security and Haiphong City, presented the awards to the winning teams. On this occasion, the Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and the Standing Deputy Prime Minister, together with leaders from the Ministry of Public Security and Haiphong City, presented gifts to honor the families of martyrs and individuals who have made significant contributions to the local security and order protection forces. The final of the "First National Excellent Local Security and Order Protection Force Competition" marks an important milestone in force building, contributing to the solid consolidation of the people's security foundation, the people's security posture, and the people's trust. It leverages the strength of the entire nation in the cause of protecting national security and maintaining social order, safety, and security. The competition continues to affirm the determination to build increasingly strong, widespread, elite, and effective local security and order protection forces that meet the demands of the new era. This contributes to building a society characterized by order, discipline, safety, health, civilization, harmony, and development, for the peace and happiness of the people.
