"This decision is not a deviation from my common goal. It is merely a transition to a new role where I can contribute more effectively to the aspiration for a democratic Myanmar based on rights, human rights, and a federal democratic system," U Aung Kyaw Moe said. He explained that this is a strategic decision to focus more effectively on the national rights, political representation, dignity, and long-term interests of the Rohingya people. He stated that going forward, he will continue to work with regional and international partners to strengthen Rohingya political leadership, foster unity within the community, and achieve assistance and justice for the Rohingya cause. Furthermore, he announced that Myanmar's future can only be guaranteed by building a core federal democratic union that ensures equality, justice, the rule of law, and respects the rights of all ethnic nationalities, and that he is ready to continue close cooperation with the NUG, ethnic resistance organizations, democratic forces, and civil society organizations wherever common goals align.
