Flooding occurs in Tachileik City

It is reported that in Tachileik City, Shan State (East), due to heavy rains on September 8 and 9, and the rise in the Mae Sai River caused by mountain runoff, flooding has occurred on the main road, Bogyoke Road, and in low-lying wards since noon on September 10. The warning water level for Tachileik City is 390 centimeters. According to measurements from the Pun Htun Hydrological Station, the Mae Sai River's water level reached 360 centimeters at 10 AM on September 10, and rose to 430 centimeters by 12 PM. As a result, water has entered the roads and residential homes in Bogyoke Road and low-lying wards such as Pun Htun, Tar Law, Makahokham, San Sai (Kha), San Sai (Ka), and Mae Khone, causing flooding. Furthermore, it is reported that as of 4:30 PM on September 10, the Mae Sai River's water level remains at 430 centimeters, above the warning level for Tachileik City. Therefore, residents living near the riverbanks and in low-lying areas have been alerted to take precautions in advance.
