Kampot Authorities Enhance Surveillance at Online Scam Site with 24-Hour Guard

The operational and anti-online scam task force of Kampot province inspected the "Long Van Resort," a location previously used for online scam activities and subsequently shut down by authorities. Preparations are underway to hand over the facility to a police force for 24-hour security. The inspection was led by Dr. Toch Poliva, Deputy Governor of Kampot province and head of the task force, representing Dr. Cham Chansophann, Governor of Kampot province. Participants included relevant authorities, specialized officials, and Mr. Sok Vuthy, Deputy Prosecutor of the Kampot Provincial Court, who facilitated legal procedures. Brigadier General Nhem Sao, Deputy Commissioner of Police (representing Major General Khim Sokkhai, Commissioner of Kampot Provincial Police), stated that the "Long Van Resort," located along the waterway in Val Preng village, Kaheng commune, Samrong Tong district, Kampot province, has been designated as a storage site for materials and evidence seized from past online scam crackdowns. Following principled agreement from leadership, the site has been entrusted to the Kampot Provincial Police Commissionerate for direct management and security.
