Work Implementations: Dengue prevention measure and development works

Rakhine State Chief Minister U Naing Oo inspected dengue prevention and environmental sanitation activities at basic education schools in Sittwe on Thursday. The Chief Minister, accompanied by state government officials, visited No. 2 Basic Education High School, where health workers were carrying out mosquito spraying to help prevent dengue fever during the rainy season. He also inspected drainage improvement works around the school to ensure proper water flow. Meanwhile, joint teams from the Township Health Department, the Maternal and Child Welfare Association and the Myanmar Women's Affairs Federation conducted dengue prevention activities in Bawk Thee Su Ward. The teams inspected homes for mosquito larvae, applied larvicide and encouraged residents to eliminate mosquito breeding sites. The Chief Minister also inspected drainage cleaning works at the downtown canal in Yupa Taung Ward and beautification efforts at Paw Tun Aung Park. On August 5, the Chief Minister inspected the construction of a dairy farm in Sittwe, facilities for milk processing and storage, a greenhouse for vegetable cultivation, preparations for tissue banana planting, and land development for Napier grass cultivation.
