Bac Ninh Urged to Balance Modern Urbanization with Cultural Heritage Preservation

General Secretary and President To Lam has highlighted the significance of preserving cultural heritage in the development of Bac Ninh Province. He stated that this marks a new chapter in the history of building and developing the land of Kinh Bac, which boasts a rich tradition of culture, revolutionary history, dynamism, and creativity. Bac Ninh Province is strengthening its urban governance towards becoming a centrally-governed city. Eight projects are scheduled to launch in September to celebrate this new status. Additionally, the Bac Ninh City Police have debuted and are urged to complete their organizational structure. Under its one-party system, Vietnam has experienced rapid economic growth. Industrial zones like Bac Ninh have attracted foreign investment, becoming manufacturing hubs. However, rapid urbanization presents challenges in balancing development with traditional culture and lifestyles. Regarding its relationship with China, Vietnam deepens economic ties while addressing security concerns such as territorial disputes. In this context, protecting domestic cultural heritage and maintaining national identity are crucial for stability and development.
