University of Northern Philippines-Vigan Grad Tops August-September 2026 PNLE

A graduate of the University of Northern Philippines-Vigan has topped the Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination (PNLE) held in August and September 2026. According to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), 28,652 out of 37,359 examinees passed the exam, which was administered by the Board of Nursing across 26 test centers nationwide. This resulted in a passing rate of 76.77%. The PRC stated that the results for 21 examinees were withheld pending the final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations. Successful examinees can begin registering for the issuance of their Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration online starting October 13, 2026. Instructions are available on the PRC's website. Required documents for registration include a screenshot of the system-generated Registration Form and a valid government-issued ID. Examinees must also personally register and sign the Roster of Registered Professionals. The dates and venues for the oathtaking ceremony for the newly licensed nurses will be announced soon. This achievement highlights the quality of nursing education in the Philippines and the dedication of aspiring healthcare professionals. The high passing rate also indicates a robust supply of qualified nurses entering the workforce, which is crucial for the country's healthcare system and its significant deployment of nurses overseas.
