DFA: China deal never restricted Philippine rights
The Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) asserted that the Provisional Understanding with China concerning resupply missions to Ayungin Shoal has never restricted Philippine sovereign rights and jurisdiction under international law. The DFA clarified that the agreement solely governs principles for resupply operations, respecting the 2016 Arbitral Award.
