State President and wife to visit Vietnam on official trip

State President U Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla will visit Vietnam on an official trip at the invitation of Vietnamese President Mr. To Lam and his wife, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on September 1. During the trip, the State President will meet with the Vietnamese President and hold bilateral discussions, as well as meet with the Vietnamese Prime Minister and the Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly. He will also receive and meet with individuals from business organizations. In addition, he is scheduled to attend the Myanmar-Vietnam Economic Forum and visit and study digital technology and industrial sectors in Vietnam, it is reported. During the trip, matters to further strengthen the existing friendly relations between Myanmar and Vietnam, matters to enhance cooperation between the governments, parliaments, and peoples of the two countries, and matters concerning cooperation in economy, culture, and various sectors will be discussed through frank exchange of views, according to the statement. It is reported that Union Ministers and responsible officials will accompany the State President and his wife on the trip.
