Kep Province Repairs Drainage Canal and Two Rural Roads Along National Road 33A

In Kep City, Kep Province, a drainage canal along National Road 33A and two rural roads have been repaired following damage sustained from several consecutive days of heavy rainfall. The repair work was led by Deputy Governor Hua Mithuna on July 20, 2026, with a team from relevant departments. Deputy Governor Hua Mithuna stated that the restoration of the drainage canal along National Road 33A and the repair of the two rural roads were carried out with the cooperation of the government, supported and coordinated by the provincial inspection team for Kep Province. These efforts aim to improve the drainage of rainwater and facilitate the daily commutes of residents. Recognizing the difficulties residents faced in traversing these two road sections, the Deputy Governor collaborated with the Director of the Provincial Department of Public Works and Transport. Heavy machinery was deployed to conduct the repairs, which included the excavation and restoration of one drainage canal, the repair of two roads, and gravel surfacing to ensure smoother passage for residents and students. This infrastructure improvement contributes to stabilizing the livelihoods of local residents.
