Cambodia: 6 Families Receive Humanitarian Aid After Storm Damage

In Cambodia's Kampong Cham province, six families affected by a tornado in Prey Chor and Kong Meas districts received humanitarian aid on September 1, 2026, through the Cambodian Red Cross Kampong Cham branch. The aid, directed by the President of the Cambodian Red Cross, Samdech Kittiprittibandit Bun Rany Hun Sen, was personally delivered to the homes of the affected families by Ms. Pang Dani, Deputy Governor of the province, representing HE Oun Chan Da, Chairman of the provincial Red Cross branch committee. During the visit to the affected families' residences, Ms. Pang Dani, Vice-Chairperson of the branch, conveyed the condolences of leaders at all levels, especially Samdech Kittiprittibandit Bun Rany Hun Sen, who consistently prioritizes those affected by disasters. Representatives were dispatched to meet with the victim families, bringing food supplies, essential materials, and financial assistance for those impacted by natural calamities. Ms. Dani also urged all citizens to heighten their vigilance against unforeseen dangers, particularly during periods of rain and storms, which can bring phenomena such as thunder and tornadoes. She emphasized that utmost caution is essential for self-protection, to avoid harm to body and life, and to maintain good health. The aid provided by the provincial Red Cross branch to each family includes 25 kilograms of rice, instant noodles, canned fish, fish sauce, soy sauce, one kit, and a sum of money.
