Cambodia's Ministry of Inspection Urges Officials to Boost Reform Implementation

Minister of Inspection Sok Soken led a meeting of the Ministry of Inspection's Reform Promotion Committee on July 29, 2026, at the ministry's headquarters. The meeting was held to monitor and review the committee's work progress, with the participation of numerous leaders and relevant officials. Minister Sok Soken highly commended the leaders and relevant officials for their diligent fulfillment of duties as stipulated in the directive on the establishment of the Ministry of Inspection's Reform Promotion Committee. He stated that this committee serves as a mechanism to lead, support, coordinate, and drive the implementation of reforms to enhance the ministry's governance, in line with government directives. Furthermore, the minister provided important recommendations to all leaders and relevant officials, urging them to continue performing their roles and responsibilities in accordance with existing legal standards and at a pace consistent with the government's significant reform efforts. Additionally, the minister emphasized the importance of the ministry continuing to promote the preparation of its legal regulations and preparing for their full implementation, as the leading and managing institution for the inspection sector in the Kingdom of Cambodia. Minister Sok Soken recalled that significant reforms have been continuously considered and promoted since previous governments up to the current 7th legislature of the National Assembly. During the meeting, the First Deputy Minister and Standing Vice Chairman, along with the Chairpersons of the Legal Reform Working Group, Public Administration Reform Working Group, and Public Financial Management Reform Working Group of the Ministry of Inspection's Reform Promotion Committee, reported on their key work progress and challenges. Relevant leaders also participated in discussions and provided crucial input aimed at strengthening the work of the Ministry of Inspection's Reform Promotion Committee.
