It is reported that due to heavy rainfall, flooding has occurred in the low-lying areas within Bago Township as of 7:00 AM today, July 29. "In the low-lying areas of the Myo Thit ward, the water depth is about 4 feet, and in the low-lying areas of the Kyauk Gyi Su ward, the water depth is about 2 feet," said a local resident. Similarly, the water depth on Mingalar Road is about 2 feet, and in the low-lying areas of Kalyani ward, specifically in areas 4, 6, 16, and 21, the water depth is about 2 feet, and if the rain continues, the river water level may rise further, the local resident added. Furthermore, according to local residents' accounts, water has risen on Kway Thit roads, Nat Sin area roads, and Pattamya Road, and flooding is occurring within the Myo Thit ward, with the deepest areas reaching a water depth of about 4 feet 6 inches. The Bago River's water level situation shows a warning level of 880 centimeters, and according to measurements taken at 12:30 PM today, July 29, the Bago River's water level has reached 853 centimeters, still remaining 27 centimeters below the warning level. Similarly, the warning level for the Zawtung River is 900 centimeters, but the current water level is 569 centimeters, which is 331 centimeters below the warning level. Relevant authorities are closely monitoring the river water level and flood situation, and are continuing to carry out necessary flood prevention and rescue operations.
