China fires water cannon at PH ships in Scarborough Shoal, heightening South China Sea tensions
The Philippine Coast Guard reported that Chinese Coast Guard vessels used water cannons and dangerous maneuvers against Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources ships during a mission to Scarborough Shoal in the South China Sea. No injuries or damage were reported, but tensions between the two nations have once again escalated.
