Ensuring the public's food security is a national imperative, and regional officials need to pay attention and strive for it, said Head of State Senior General Min Aung Hlaing. This was stated by the Head of State during a meeting with members of the government bodies of Yangon Region and Bago Region, and departmental officials at the Yangon Region Government Office on July 21. The Head of State instructed that aquaculture businesses in Bago Region need to be further expanded, and efforts should be made to increase the production of meat and fish in Yangon Region. As Yangon Region and Bago Region possess good economic foundations and favorable water and soil conditions for agriculture and livestock breeding, the Head of State Senior General Min Aung Hlaing urged them to work together to develop the social and economic lives of the region and the nation.
