24 schools temporarily closed in Laymyethna reopened

It has been learned from the Township Education Office that 24 of the basic education schools that were temporarily closed in Laymyethna Township due to flooding caused by a dam breach can now reopen and resume teaching. It is reported that out of the 39 basic education schools that were temporarily closed due to flooding caused by a low-lying dam in Laymyethna Township, 24 schools have been able to reopen as of September 24. It has been learned that the General Administration Department, the Fire Brigade, relevant village administrators, teachers, health workers, and local residents worked together to reopen the temporarily closed basic education schools. It is reported that 24 basic education schools have been able to reopen and resume teaching thanks to the collective efforts in cleaning the school premises, improving water flow around the school, ensuring access to clean drinking and household water, and carrying out school health activities.
