NUG's Special Military Command Attacked by Airstrikes, 6 Including CDM Sergeant Major Nay Win Aung Killed, Commander Injured

Ayeyarwaddy Times September 25 The National Unity Government's (NUG) Special Military Command was subjected to airstrikes by the State Administration Council's (SAC) air force around 11 AM on September 24, resulting in the deaths of six anti-dictatorship fighters and injuries to no less than six others, it has been learned. SAC forces began their airstrikes on the Special Military Command around 11 AM yesterday, and as a result of this attack, six individuals, including CDM Sergeant Major Nay Win Aung, who was teaching aerial reconnaissance techniques, were killed. Airstrikes continued intermittently in the afternoon. "We heard that Teacher Nay Win Aung did not have time to evade as he was waiting for a car to arrive. This is a great sacrifice for the aerial reconnaissance team. We are even more saddened because he was our teacher," a member of the revolutionary forces told Ayeyarwaddy Times. Teacher Nay Win Aung was one of those who joined the CDM from the air force after the military coup, and he was also a person who taught aerial reconnaissance techniques to warn and defend against aerial attacks in revolutionary areas. It has been learned that the commander of the Special Military Command, Aung San Hla, and some soldiers were injured in the airstrikes, and some soldiers who were attending training at the Special Military Command, as well as some soldiers from the Special Operations Force (S.O.F), were among the deceased. "The incident involving Teacher Nay Win Aung and others was due to a security breach in the radio communications.
