Cambodia Marks 1 Year Since Alleged Thai Military Aggression, CMAC Chief Urges National Unity

Cambodia on Friday marked the one-year anniversary of what it describes as a brutal invasion by Thai forces, which allegedly involved heavy artillery, chemical smoke, cluster munitions, airstrikes, and kamikaze drones targeting both military and civilian objectives. H.E. Heng Ratana, Director General of the Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC), highlighted the significance of the date on his official Facebook page, recalling the aggression launched exactly 365 days prior against Cambodia’s territorial integrity. He called on the nation to view these events as a crucial lesson in history and science to further bolster national unity, resolve, and patriotism. On this occasion, H.E. Heng Ratana also paid tribute to the fallen soldiers, national police officers, and civilians who lost their lives during the invasion, honoring their sacrifice in defense of the nation, religion, and the Khmer King.
