Cambodian Education Minister Urges Graduates to Persevere and Adapt in Professional Life

Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, has urged graduates to continue learning from their professional lives, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and adaptability in the face of diverse situations. This is to strengthen their capabilities and expertise to serve society and build the nation. The Minister's remarks were made during the graduation ceremony for Bachelor's, Master's, and Associate's degrees at the ACLED University of Business, held on September 14, 2026, as reported on his Facebook page. In his post, the Minister stated, "After graduation, you will enter the working world, which is distinctly different from school life. Therefore, you must continue to learn from your work, draw lessons from practical experience, and work with perseverance and diligence to enhance your capabilities, knowledge, and skills, enabling you to adapt to all evolving social situations. You must collectively serve and develop our society and our people with a sense of responsibility, sincerity, and love, thereby building the strength of our country." Dr. Naron further added that rapid technological advancements are transforming the job market, necessitating regular reviews of training and teacher competencies to cultivate human resources with a strong foundation. He specifically pointed out that while using AI in teaching and learning, it should be employed as a supplementary tool, ensuring students do not lose their critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities by relying on it entirely. In this regard, he encouraged young people to foster a growth mindset, have passion in their work, research from reliable expert sources, and meticulously verify and analyze information before making judgments. The Minister advised all students to adhere to the spirit of "there is no end to learning," to be lifelong learners, and to be exemplary citizens with a high sense of responsibility in serving the nation and society.
