It is known that the columns that withdrew from Monywa and Indaw starting from July 18th began to withdraw along the Mandalay-Myitkyina road from July 22nd with two convoys consisting of about 80 military vehicles. "The troops that withdrew from Monywa even poisoned the water and food. Recently, troop rotations are being carried out. We are just waiting to see when they will start advancing again," a source told the Ayeyarwaddy Times. It is known that some of the troops from these columns entered the Central Military Command (LAPhC) in the Mandalay Palace, and the No. 116 Light Infantry Battalion and No. 119 Light Infantry Battalion in Pwintbyu Township. Approximately 200 troops entered the city of Shwebo through Laphanla village in Sintku Township, and also entered the city of Shwebo through the No. 12 Light Infantry Battalion in Kyaukmyauk. In Indaw Township, the army has left only one strategic base, abandoning most of the camps, and is transporting troops by helicopter to the vicinity of the No. 111 Light Infantry Battalion in Wuntho. Furthermore, on July 28th, Monywa Revolution (MR) announced that a convoy consisting of eight armored vehicles and two six-wheeled trucks, which departed from Sagaing, is heading towards Monywa, Chaung-U, and Myinmu via the Kaun Hso Pagoda in Sagaing. The army, which had captured Taungngu and Htee Chaing, continued its advance in the upper Sagaing regions of Katha, Indaw, and Monywa starting in May, leading to intense fighting. Although they captured Nabah Junction, Meza, Nanthu, Sanpaw, Naungmo, and Ale Sate villages, they lost some of their camps again due to the combined attacks of the revolutionary forces.
