Myanmar, China discuss promoting maritime trade

Vice President U Nyo Soe and Guangzhou Mayor Mr. Sun Zhiyang discussed matters related to promoting maritime trade between Myanmar and China. Vice President U Nyo Soe, who is in Nanning, People's Republic of China, arrived in Guangzhou on the afternoon of September 19th with Union Minister U Tun Ohn and representatives, and held discussions with Guangzhou Mayor Mr. Sun Zhiyang of Guangdong Province. During the meeting, opinions were exchanged on Myanmar-China bilateral relations, cooperation matters, and issues related to promoting maritime trade. Furthermore, on the morning of September 18th, the Vice President and the delegation visited and observed the Ma Tou intersection of the Pinglu Canal, which directly connects the sea to the river for the passage of cargo ships in the city of Qinzhou, and the intelligent (AI) technology-based automated container terminal and piers in Qinzhou city. The Myanmar delegation led by Vice President U Nyo Soe has arrived in Nanning city to attend the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo and the 23rd China-ASEAN Summit on Economy and Investment, which will be held in Nanning city, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, People's Republic of China.
