Political will can be coordinated within existing laws, and necessary difficulties will be coordinated and resolved in accordance with existing laws, said Chairman Lieutenant General Yar Pyae of the National Unity and Peace Restoration Coordination Committee. Lieutenant General Yar Pyae made these remarks during a meeting between the National Unity and Peace Restoration Coordination Committee and the Naga National Socialist Council (NSCN-K)(AM) held at the Mingalar Thiri Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw on July 31. Lieutenant General Yar Pyae further stated that he wants the Naga National Socialist Council to prioritize the situation of peacebuilding in the Naga region and the stability of the entire region. Following this, U Chin Maung, a member of the Central Executive Committee of the Naga National Socialist Council and Chairman of the Peace Restoration Committee, said that he hopes the country will develop under the leadership of the head of state. He stated that since the Naga region is a stable region, they are willing to continue to cooperate peacefully with the government to maintain that situation in the long term and promote the socio-economic development of the region. U Chin Maung also expressed strong confidence that this meeting will further strengthen the trust and friendly relations between the two parties, and that they will be able to jointly achieve good results and common agreements for the stability of the Naga region and the peace of the Union. Afterwards, the attendees discussed cooperation with the state government for regional stability, the implementation of political, social, and economic activities in the regions inhabited by Naga people, the opening of liaison offices, cooperation with the Tatmadaw and government departments in security and development projects in the Naga region, and matters related to the ceasefire and regional development.
