It is also reported that a flood shelter has been opened at the Yekyi indoor stadium, and evacuees are being accommodated. "Flood evacuees have appeared in Yekyi town as well. We have heard that the water has reached Deikone village. Flood evacuees are being housed at the Yekyi indoor stadium. We have heard that the water is coming towards the Ngathine Chaung area, so even the Ngathine Chaung town is on alert. Flood evacuees from the Deikone village area are coming to Yekyi station by a small train carriage used for track maintenance. Those who do not have relatives to stay with are taking shelter at the indoor stadium. We are sending them from the station to the indoor stadium. The population has now reached about 200 people.
