Who is Justin Nicol Gular, the defense lawyer cross-examining witness in VP Duterte's impeachment trial?

Attorney Justin Nicol Gular conducted the cross-examination of witness Karen Batu from the Office of the Ombudsman on Tuesday, the 25th day of the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte. Gular, a senior associate at Fortun Narvasa & Salazar Law, also serves as the defense team's deputy spokesperson. He obtained his Juris Doctor Degree and Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of San Carlos. According to the law firm, Gular was a three-time Grand Champion of the ANC Square Offs: The Firm Debate during his studies. Gular was also featured last week when the trial tackled the issue of apparent aliases found in the acknowledgment receipts for the Office of the Vice President (OVP) and the Department of Education’s (DepEd) confidential funds.
