Vietnam's Late September Weather: Sunny North, Persistent Rain and Thunderstorms in South

According to the Vietnam Meteorological and Hydrometeorological Administration, on September 21, the northern and central regions are expected to experience cloudy to sunny weather with scattered rain and thunderstorms at night. Meanwhile, the southern regions are forecast to see rain and thunderstorms intermittently throughout the day, with the possibility of heavy rainfall in some areas. Moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms are particularly anticipated from the afternoon into the night. Looking at past weather data, unstable climatic conditions have persisted across Vietnam since the beginning of September. For instance, widespread heavy rainfall was observed in the central and southern regions on September 20, and the central region experienced torrential rain on September 12 as well. While the northern region saw intermittent sunshine on September 9 and 7, rain and thunderstorms were also reported, indicating weather variability by region. Such climate fluctuations can have wide-ranging impacts, including effects on agricultural production, strain on infrastructure, and implications for citizens' daily lives, such as transportation and health management.
