Vietnam Summer Camp 2026 Concludes, Strengthening Ties for Overseas Youth

The Vietnam Summer Camp 2026, held from July 12 to 25 across eight cities and provinces, has concluded, offering a rich array of experiences for overseas Vietnamese youth. The program aimed to strengthen their bonds with their homeland. Participants explored historical landmarks and iconic cultural heritage sites, including the imperial city of Hue, Hoi An ancient town, and the My Son Sanctuary, immersing themselves in Vietnam's rich culture and history. Furthermore, they engaged in charitable activities valued at over 300 million VND (approximately 11,400 USD), including the installation of a "Youth Bookshelf." The camp is designed to foster a sense of belonging and attachment to Vietnam among young overseas Vietnamese by allowing them to experience their country's cultural heritage and contribute to local communities. The Vietnamese government places importance on strengthening ties with overseas Vietnamese (OVs), and such youth-oriented programs are part of efforts to encourage their engagement in national development. As Vietnam continues its economic growth, it also focuses on maintaining and strengthening connections with its citizens living abroad, thereby preserving and developing its human resources and cultural identity. Various exchange programs are being implemented to ensure that younger generations remain interested in their homeland.
