Indonesian Foreign Ministry Investigates Alleged Fraud in Recruitment of 8 Citizens for Russian Mercenaries

In Indonesia, many citizens wish to work abroad seeking better income and career opportunities. Particularly in the Southeast Asian region, labor mobility is high in sectors such as construction, caregiving, and, as in this case, military-related occupations. On the other hand, cases of workers being exploited due to the opacity of recruitment information and misconduct by intermediaries are also recurrent.
