Prabowo Mandates SOE-Led Commodity Exports to Curb Foreign Exchange Leakage

President Prabowo Subianto has mandated that exports of palm oil, coal, and ferro-alloys must be conducted through state-owned enterprises (SOEs). This policy aims to curb foreign exchange leakage caused by under-invoicing and transfer pricing, targeting a significant increase in state revenue from the estimated $65 billion annual export value of these commodities.
