Border Guards Seize Over 15,200 Drug Pills, Heroin in Major Trafficking Bust

Border guards in Vietnam's central province of Nghe An have successfully dismantled a major drug trafficking ring, seizing over 15,200 synthetic drug pills and heroin. At approximately 10:15 PM on July 20, officers from the Operations Division of the Nghe An Border Guard Command and the Nam Can International Border Gate Border Guard Station, in coordination with customs officers, apprehended a suspect allegedly transporting narcotics in Tien Tieu village, Nam Can commune, near the Nam Can International Border Gate. The seized items included over 15,200 synthetic drug pills and heroin. Nghe An province is known as a hotspot for drug trafficking and distribution within Vietnam. Previous large-scale operations in the province have also resulted in the seizure of significant quantities of heroin, indicating the persistent presence of criminal networks. The organization busted in this latest operation likely operated with an extensive cross-border network.
