Magnitude 5.0 quake strikes off Sarangani, Davao Occidental
A magnitude 5.0 earthquake was recorded off Sarangani, Davao Occidental on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs). Phivolcs stated it is likely an aftershock of major quakes that struck the region in June. No damage has been reported.
MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 5.0 earthquake was recorded off Sarangani, Davao Occidental on Wednesday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said. Phivolcs said that this is an aftershock of the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck Sarangani last June 8 and the magnitude 6.5 earthquake that struck off Davao Occidental last June 26.
