Vietnam Tightens Regulations on Fetal Sex Disclosure to Combat Imbalance

Vietnam has introduced Decree 90, effective May 15, significantly increasing penalties for fetal sex disclosure and sex-selective abortion. Aimed at addressing the country's persistent gender imbalance at birth, the regulation imposes stricter fines and suspension of medical licenses to curb the traditional preference for male children.
