Vietnam Focuses on Disaster Recovery Amidst Urgent Search and Reconstruction Efforts

In Lai Chau province, northern Vietnam, recent flash floods and landslides have claimed the lives of six residents, with two still missing and ten others injured. The government has pledged swift recovery efforts and directed authorities to intensify search and rescue operations. Officers and soldiers of the Lai Chau provincial Border Guard are working tirelessly in challenging weather conditions to locate the missing. Alongside disaster recovery, Vietnam is accelerating its nationwide "500-Day Campaign" to search for, recover, and identify the remains of fallen soldiers.
