Preah Vihear Temple to Receive Enhanced International Support Amidst Extensive Damage

Following extensive damage to Cambodia's Preah Vihear Temple from heavy weapons attacks in 2025, the Chinese and Indian co-chairs of the International Coordinating Committee (ICC) have reaffirmed their continued support and cooperation for its restoration and conservation. UNESCO has warned that the temple's "Outstanding Universal Value" is under threat.
