He stated that the 'Grubug Agung' (great chaos) theme of the action reflects the current poor conditions in the country and on the Island of the Gods. 'We can see how the people themselves are facing difficulties amidst today's economic situation. Coupled with environmental policies, the government today is not firm against those who damage the environment,' Tirtayasa added. The protesters issued three demands: 1. Urging the Governor of Bali and the Bali Provincial DPRD to immediately implement a moratorium on tourism in Bali to stop the land and clean water crisis. 2. Urging the President of Indonesia and the DPR RI to stop all forms of criminalization and violence against human rights defenders and environmental defenders (eco defenders). 3. Urging the President of Indonesia and the DPR RI to maintain economic stability and immediately stabilize the rupiah and lower the price of non-subsidized fuel so as not to have a negative impact on the people's economy. The group vowed to continue their fight and voice their concerns if their demands are not met.
