MANILA, Philippines — Former House Speaker and Leyte Representative Martin Romualdez was transferred to the New Quezon City Jail on Monday night. Romualdez arrived at the facility after being confined at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) over the weekend. A convoy of Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) personnel escorted Romualdez from PGH to the New Quezon City Jail. The transfer occurred immediately after his discharge from the hospital.
