Vietnam Communist Party Central Committee Adopts Resolution from 3rd Plenum, 14th Tenure

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam has adopted a resolution from its third plenum of the 14th tenure (Resolution No. 17-NQ/TW, dated July 24, 2026). The plenum concluded after five working days. In his closing remarks, General Secretary and President Tô Lâm emphasized that the resolution adopted at this plenum focuses on five specific tasks that the entire Party and the political system must immediately implement. This resolution is expected to outline the Party's guiding principles for addressing Vietnam's economic and social challenges and further advancing national development. Vietnam has achieved rapid economic growth under its one-party system, but it also faces various challenges, including sustainable development, social inequality, and complex relations with neighboring China. This resolution is seen as providing concrete guidelines for action to address these issues.
