Field Demonstration of Research Results: MOALI DM delivered the opening remarks

“Agricultural Research Results Practical Application Field Demonstration" for the public was held on July 9 at the field of the Central Rice Research Station, Department of Agricultural Research. The event was attended by Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, Dr. Ye Tint Tun, along with responsible officials, research scientists, agricultural extension staff from the Nay Pyi Taw Council area, andfarmers. At the field demonstration, the Deputy Minister delivered an address, stating that the ministry is prioritizing the implementation of measures to make beneficial use of land resources and to enhance individual farmers' productivity based on environmentally sustainable agricultural practices. He further emphasized that efforts must be made to conduct research and studies to identify the challenges and constraints faced by farmers and producers, and to ensure that the results are known, accepted, and implemented by the farmers. Subsequently, Dr. Aung Moe Myo Tint, Director General of the Department of Agricultural Research, gave an explanatory speech regarding the purpose of organizing the "Agricultural Research Results Practical Application Field Demonstration." Afterward, the Deputy Minister and attendees toured the exhibition displays, which included methods for producing and using natural fertilizers, newly released crop varieties, and cultivated demonstration plots. Following this, the Deputy Minister attended and encouraged participants at the 116th Farmers' Technology Discussion, held at the assembly hall of the Department of Agricultural Research, where he discussed the technical measures that need to be followed to achieve paddy yield targets. At the 116th Farmers' Technology Discussion, Dr. Cho Cho Aung, Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Research, presented a discussion on the topic "Characteristics of Rice Varieties and Methods to Follow to Achieve Target Yields" and provided detailed answers and discussions in response to questions raised by the farmers, it’s reported.
