The incident took place around 4 PM on July 24th in K'chab village, K'chab commune, Peam Chor district. According to a report from local authorities, the victim, identified as Kouv Pol, was a farmer who made a living by raising ducks for egg production. On the evening of the incident, amidst heavy rainfall, Pol was attempting to herd his ducks into their pen located behind his house. While doing so, he was struck by lightning and died instantly at the scene. This accident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by natural disasters. Authorities have repeatedly warned residents to take caution and seek shelter in safe places during heavy rains and storms. The incident underscores the unpredictable nature of such events and the need for constant vigilance.
