Vietnam-Mongolia Elevate Comprehensive Partnership During National Assembly Chairman's Visit

The official visit to Mongolia by Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Tran Thanh Man, served as an opportunity for both sides to concretize the major commitments and orientations agreed upon by high-level leaders, demonstrating the determination of both countries to advance the Comprehensive Partnership framework in a deeper, more substantive, and effective manner. The relationship between Vietnam and Mongolia is currently in its best stage of development. This visit aims to further develop this good relationship and strengthen the traditional friendship and mutual trust between the two countries. In particular, strengthening cooperation in the judicial field was one of the key focuses. Both countries agreed to deepen the coordination of their judicial systems and promote collaboration in law enforcement. This represents a significant step for Vietnam in solidifying its foundation as a law-governed state and establishing international legal frameworks with Mongolia. Furthermore, the establishment of a regular dialogue mechanism between the legislative bodies of both countries will be promoted. This is expected to enhance information exchange and policy coordination at the National Assembly level, thereby strengthening the political foundation for promoting cooperation in all aspects of bilateral relations. Vietnam, a socialist republic with a one-party system, prioritizes economic growth. Strengthening ties with Mongolia is seen as part of Vietnam's diplomatic strategy to expand its regional influence and seek new partnerships for economic development. Particularly for Vietnam, which has a complex relationship with China, its ties with Mongolia are important for maintaining strategic balance.
