Vietnamese Communist Party (CPV) Politburo member, Central Committee Secretary, and Head of the Central Internal Affairs Department, Le Minh Tri, held talks with members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) delegation, including Chen Wenqing, CCP Politburo member, Central Committee Secretary, and Secretary of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission, and Zhao Leji, CCP Politburo Standing Committee member, Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, and Director of the National Supervisory Commission. Both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation between the two parties in the fields of internal affairs, political and legal work, disciplinary inspection, and supervision. This agreement aims to concretize the common understanding reached by the top leadership of both parties. Le Minh Tri, leading the Vietnamese delegation, expressed his pleasure in visiting China during the commemoration of the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CCP. He congratulated China on the significant achievements made by the Party and the state in recent years, particularly in the comprehensive and strict governance of the Party and anti-corruption efforts, which have continuously strengthened the Party's purity and robustness. He noted that this lays a solid foundation for China to continue successfully implementing the resolutions of the 20th National Congress and preparing for the 21st National Congress. Tri emphasized that Vietnam considers the development of relations with China a consistent policy, an objective requirement, a strategic choice, and a top priority within its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, self-strengthening, multilateralism, and diversification. Vietnam is ready to further enhance relations between the two parties and countries with China, bringing practical benefits to the people of both nations and contributing to peace, stability, and development in the region and the world. Chen Wenqing and Zhao Leji warmly congratulated Vietnam on the tremendous development achievements of the Vietnamese Party and state. They highly valued the visit of Le Minh Tri and the CPV delegation to China, especially following the highly successful state visit to China by General Secretary and President To Lam. They stressed that China's political and legal, disciplinary inspection, and supervisory bodies always attach great importance to and prioritize the development of relations with Vietnam. Both sides expressed their satisfaction with the positive developments in Vietnam-China relations in recent times and emphasized the importance of the Party-to-Party channel in bilateral relations. They agreed on major directions and measures for the internal affairs, political and legal, disciplinary inspection, and supervisory bodies of the two parties to concretize the common understanding of the top leadership. Specifically, based on the successful cooperation between the CPV Central Internal Affairs Department and the CCP's Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission, Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, and National Supervisory Commission, both sides agreed to increase exchanges of delegations at all levels, regularly share experiences in Party building and national governance, promote cooperation in training and professional development, and strengthen judicial cooperation and multilateral coordination in internal affairs, anti-corruption, combating cross-border crime, and related fields. During the talks, Le Minh Tri introduced the main results of the 14th National Congress of the CPV and the major, decisive measures to implement the Congress's resolutions, as well as the outcomes of Party building and rectification, the political system, internal affairs, anti-corruption, waste prevention, and judicial reform in Vietnam. Both sides also engaged in in-depth discussions on the experiences and effective practices of the two parties in Party building, building a socialist rule-of-law state, supervising and controlling power, preventing corruption, building and perfecting laws, and enhancing the capacity and effectiveness of internal affairs agencies, as well as the application of science and technology in professional activities. During their stay in Beijing, Le Minh Tri and the Vietnamese delegation also visited an exhibition on China's disciplinary inspection and supervision work and surveyed exemplary bases for law enforcement management and case handling in Beijing. In the following days, the delegation is scheduled to visit and work in Chongqing city. Source: Nhan Dan
