
Philippines Re-evaluates Bundling of LRT-2, MRT-3 Operations
The Philippines' Department of Transportation (DoTr) is revisiting proposals to bundle the operations and maintenance (O&M) contracts for the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) and Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3). Technical-level discussions are underway to ensure service continuity and improvements. For MRT-3, bidding is slated to begin in October, with operations expected to transfer by October 2027.
