Cambodia Launches Mosquito Eradication Campaign Amid Dengue Fever Concerns

The Cambodian government has conducted a mosquito eradication campaign in Lva Loeu Commune, Chhukar Leu District, Kampong Cham Province, aiming to prevent the spread of dengue fever. This initiative is part of efforts to protect public health and prevent mosquito-borne diseases. The campaign was personally led by Sok Pheng, Secretary of State of the Council of Ministers, and was joined by Ket Keo Amta, Deputy Head of the working group for local support. The effort also saw active cooperation from health officials from the Lva Loeu Health Post, led by Ms. Eng Dina, and local authorities from Lva Loeu Commune, headed by Commune Chief Nhem Sopheap, along with numerous other relevant working groups. This mosquito spraying activity serves as a proactive measure to prevent and protect the well-being of residents in the locality from dengue fever and other illnesses transmitted by mosquito bites. Authorities also appealed to all citizens to continue paying close attention to cleaning the environment around their homes and eliminating breeding grounds for mosquitoes, such as stagnant water containers, jars, and discarded cans, to safeguard the health of all families.
