Hanoi Metro Line 5 Commences Construction of Quan Ngua Underground Station

Construction has commenced on the S1 (Quan Ngua) underground station for Hanoi's Metro Line 5, specifically the Van Cao-Hoa Lac section. The Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board (MRB) and the EPC contractor consortium officially announced the groundbreaking for this crucial project. The Line 5 is viewed as a vital "lifeline" aimed at fostering strategic connectivity and development within the Hanoi metropolitan area, carrying significant public expectations. The commencement of the Quan Ngua station construction further advances the underground segment works of this line. Previous milestones in the underground construction include the successful installation of a 38.5-ton steel casing at the S3 station of the same line. Traffic management and diversions have also been implemented along Van Cao street to facilitate the smooth progress of the works. As Vietnam experiences rapid urbanization, the development of transportation infrastructure has become a pressing national priority.
